I'm pretty new to trucks and prerunners so I'm looking for a little help. The truck currently has bent beams, aftermarket radius arms, 35" tires on 15" wheels, 14" Fox shocks with resis up front, and a 2" body lift. Now I want to focus my attention to the rear. What are the most common options for long travel rear suspension, where can I buy, and can I get a ballpark figure of each setup? This will just be a weekend off road truck and maybe use it as a DD when the mustang is down. I already have wider fenders and bedsides, and have no issue loosing the bed. The truck currently has stock leafs with some shackles and stock shocks. Any help is appreciated. BTW, should I loose the body lift?

if it was me i'd loose the body lift, flip your rear hangers, and pick up a set of used deavers, some LT shocks with a bed cage and some 33's

Thanks for the info, so why is it I read that people want to go with 35s?

Don't run 35's unless you have bigger hubs(dana 44's or 35's). For the rear get some deaver F-31's or national pack and some 2.5x16 shocks with a bedcage and you'll be set. Check out www.dezertrangers.com really good deals on used stuff

Any reason not to go with the g50 deavers?

Where could I start looking for the DANAs?

The beams would have to be custom made. Unless you plan on running a fuel cell, 2 spares, full bed cage the g-50s are pretty stiff.

very correct. I have two spares, a fuel cell and the bed is completely gone and replaced with tubing...still stiff. Stick with a prerunner pack and you will be happy. I would avoid the nationals though as i know of a few people who have had numerous issues with their nationals

id keep it simple just add some longer shocks some shock hoops and mob it as is. you can keep the stock leaf springs if your on a budget just remove the overload leaf and add an add-a-leaf spring with flipped shackles its supposed to work pretty good or so ive heard.
