Hey everyone, dont know if yalls seen my post little while ago. wells, bout week ago i lost my Danger-Ranger because a guy blew through a stop sign and totaled my truck =(...

Got me a Really Nice 1998 Chevy S10 4x4 4.3L V6 Vortech P/U

Just wanting to get some info on it. for example, i went to use the 4H on it and so i put it in neutral and then clicked on to 4H. the switch light came on but whenever i put it into drive and then go towards the mud, only was back tires spinning. so's, someone said it might be a vacumm hose or something leading towards the front drive? i dont knows much. thanks

James

there is an actuator on the front diff, they usually get gummed up from not being used or the front gear oil not getting changed regularly

get a bigger hammer :D

nah seriously, under the battery box there is a vaccumm actuator that pulls a cable to actuate your front diff.

those are notorious for ripping. pull out the battery box and have a look.

if that isnt it. then the cable drive on the front axle is frozen.

but with the key on, just hit the 4wd button and go under neath and try to spin your front drive shaft. if it wont spin, then you know your t-case is engaging.
