I have a 99 ranger xlt supercab 2wd 3.0 liter. My money situation is a little tight due to getting laid off from work and having a hard time finding a new job. I wanna lift the front but cant find a cheap way of doing it. I have 3 inch blocks in the rear already. So i would like to lift the front 3-4 inches.

I was wondering if i took stock springs from a f150 would they lift the truck any?

the cheapest lift will be a body lift. the thing about using a longer spring without getting a longer control arms causes all sorts of alingment issues.

do u know anybody that is getting rid of a body lift? i am located in florida. i will pay shipping. i just dont have almost 200 to lay out for a new kit

When I made my own I only wanted a 1'' but you can do the samething for a taller one. What I did was go down to the local metal supplier bought 3'' alum. bar cut down in 1" slices then drilled a hole in the middle went to the hardware store and bought longer bolts. I think it cost me $35 in total. and if you are unable to cut the bar the shop will usally cut it for you for a few extra bucks.

u dont need steering extension for a 1" body lift?
and how much u can lift without needing it?
sorry to jack... but this could be useful to the OP as well:icon_thumby:

good question. I have no idea. but when I did the 04 dash in my 87 I was able to get a spare steering shaft at the jk and looked to be pretty esay to make a ext. by joining two square pipe.

i was wondering if there is an easy cheap way to lift the front of my 99 2wd xlt supercab? all i want to do is bring the front up about 2 to 3 inches. i was also wondering if the shocks for the 4wd version of my truck are longer than my stock 2wd stocks? will they lift the front a little bit??????????????

No. Shock will not change you ride height. If you wanna go 2in get a spacer for your coil springs.
