Guys I have a 1994 ranger 3.0 auto
And have a 1994 mustang gt with the 302 . Auto
Can someone explain to me will this swap work.
What won't fit and what might fit...?
What won't work and what will?
Their both auto trans
But the ranger tranny won't work with the v8
However I was reading that the AOD tranny will work but the
Mustang came with the AODE tranny will this swap still work????
Can someone please tell me asap?
I'm just about to get the engine rebuilt but I'm worried about the tranny?

For the most part it will bolt in . But you'll have to find either stock explorer 5.0 manifolds or aftermarket headers for the most part . You already have the oil pan setup you need which is good . Just need the oil filter relocate kit . Use the the 5.0 and aode together . Driveshaft is the last big think really . There's a lot of info on here . I'm about to install my 96 expo 5.0 with aode in my 94 4.0 extended cab . If you can't find the info on the forum search . Use google with the forum name and more will show up .

I have a 1984 Ranger with a 302 and FMX transmission. It had homemade motor plates, So I bought the Trans Depot V8 swap kit and the stupid thing ain't bolting on like a bolt-on kit should be. I'm so piss also the Heddman headers won't work with my starter. Nothing is easy with this built.

Thankfully I have the whole donor for my swap . I'm using my stock 4.0 mounts with explorer plates for my swap . I've heard of guys using the tri-y's for headers ,maybe a option

The only bolt in headers are the torque monster or stock explorer manifolds as the steering colum gets in the way and the frame rails if you have a body lift you can raise the motor up 2 inches and run bbk shorties but the steering colum still hits in my swap im running bbk shorties just put an extra joint in the steering colume and a pillow block to keep the colume from floping around not ideal but it works

Motor and trans just run the mustang stuff with the mustang computer and you will be fine just get a new drive shaft made they run around 300 from a mom and pop shop well worth the money
