Hi guys,

I need your help with a part of the cooling system.
40224

I don't know the name, and I don't know how, and why it's made for, but it's leaking when the motor in on, and continu to leak few minutes after shut off the motor.

Anyone had the same problem?

Thanks
Enzo

Heater bypass valve is what I call that thingamabob; not sure what the "official" name is.

Okay thanks,
Is this a common leak?

Yes, fairly common.

Is it possible to remove it and simply put pipes between each coolant tubes?

I've never had to do it, but I guess that it's possible. You'll want to plug the vacuum line, so that you don't have a vacuum leak when the truck tries to operate the valve.

Do you know for what this part is made for?
On the others cars I had, I never seen that before ^^
