well after work we trailered it up to the shop and put it on the lift. we dropped the oil pan, removed the oil pump, removed the splash shield and found half of the valve retainer; which had dropped all the way down to the crank case. So we figured our business in the ass of the motor was done.
So we lowered the lift and got to working our way to the valve covers. Of course we started the the side DIDNT have anything wrong. So we got the passenger side valve cover and sure enough a valve spring was snapped in half.
thats about as far as we got tonight. We found the root of the problem, now we just need to seek the extent of the damage. we'll have fun tomorrow night.
