A drilled rotor is going to shed a few pounds, and help increase surface area for heat dissipation. The slots are designed to scrape away brake pad material, which on a street truck it will do nothing but wear out pads very quick.
I sell pads and rotors (Napa) for the police here in Dekalb and they just run out top of the line passenger car pad, and our ultra premium rotor. There are only two cars in the forces fleet that get our drilled and slotted rotors, and those are cars that are only called out for high speed pursuits, they never see "normal" patrols.
That long and drawn out story was just trying to get across that, unless your road racing or auto crossing, there will be no performance gain from extra frills rotors, a set of high adhesion pads on the other hand WILL improve stopping from high speeds and constant brake use (High Temps), and high friction pads will increase stopping power from lower speed (Low Temps).
