Hello all, new to the ranger station. I didn't have time to properly introduce myself, but ill get around to it. I picked up a real cheap 1994 ranger, 4x4, ext cab, auto, 4.0. It has a few issues and I need to get it on the road quickly. Basically I need help ordering parts.

I am replacing rear leaf spring hangers, brackets, shackles, etc. I already have all the old stuff removed, I just got to thinking I might as well get 2" lift shackles and coil spacers for the front. A few questions before I order my parts.

1. Shocks? I probably need to replace them anyways. Do I need longer shocks for only 2" of lift? Any links to anything you recommend would be appreciated.

2. Will coil spacers affect my alignment?

3. Some coil spacers are billet and some look like they are rubber or poly, any recommendations?

I will probably try to get my parts from Ebay and Rockauto.com. I really like rockauto.com. Would love to order them tonight and be driving it by this weekend.

1. You might not NEED new shocks... some say you don't. With my stock shocks, I would have needed them... In shocks, like everything else, you get what you pay for. I recommend Bilstiens. I have them on the front of mine and LOVE them. There are other good options out there.

2. Yes. Anytime you do anything to a TTB, it pretty much matters lol.

3. Buy quality. It's a safety thing. I've seen both used with good results... but don't buy cheap eBay spacers.

Best thing you could do if you don't want to spend the extra money is to get the spacers on it and go from there. Get the spacers in, cycle your suspension and see if you need longer shocks or not.

1. No you don't need longer ones if your current ones are good, but most likely they already junky if they are the stock ones(usually the case)

2. Yes they will most definitely affect your alignment.

3. I've heard goad and bad from both, personally I would go with billet since it is the closest to what it should be if you were to construct new spring cups. If you have ever worked with rubber and polyurethane bushings and mounts you know they break down over time. As long as the aluminum doesn't crack or break then your good it won't be compressing or weakening over time like poly will. I would go with rockauto.
