so being a struggling college student sucks!

but i have a few questions.....

i want some more sound and power from my truck before i start doing exterior work so im askin you guys is a cold intake system a good idea? should i slap on a muffler? full exhaust? and im also asking if anyone has made a light bar for a prerunner that could help me out...ide rather build one than spend 500 on a pre-made one...this is the over all look i am going for....

thank you for taking the time to read this! as a beginner in working on trucks ide greatly appreciate it :)

Well a cold air intake aint goin to do any good cause the engine just starts suckin in the heated engine air instead of cold air. A few simple upgrades you can do would be like just changing out the intake pipe for a larger one leaving the stock box alone. I would do an exhaust but mostly for sound as you gain little to no power from an exhaust on a stock engine. I purchased a Dynomax cat back system for about 200 and it comes with 2.5" pipe all the way back and a muffler which you can switch out.

I mad a light bar for the front of mine for nothing, well 20 bucks for the light tabs and stuff...

I too am a college student but i would advise holding off on some of this stuff... college should come first. Another bit of advice if you want something please save up and get what you want not what you can afford at that time...

x2 on the struggling college student, it does suck not haveing to money to put into your rig.

yeah i understand, i thought cold air improves flow and shit but it makes sense if just a bigger pipe takes in more air. thanks for that tip!

as for the exhaust i think my step dad hinted my uncle is "borrowing" my truck next week to get me an exhaust system for xmas :D

i know what u mean i should put college first but i have 1 class a week and its auto shop i dont get any homework :)

first i want to save for a lift kit then tires then fenders then light bar

i looked at my bank account and im at $864.87 out of the atleast 1500 i need for a good lift haha
