Need Help (Focus)

When welding things that can be life or death for you or someone else's family... you can't just be "that bad" at welding.

I know that much, Im just simply saying I trust my welds, Ive never done suspension before, and its not like Im dumb enough to put people in danger, that is the biggest reason I came here for advice, and I have gotten most of what I need.

Plan: Make samples and designs, test my designs, have them manufactured by a local welder for the car out of steel.

If that doesn't clear stuff up for you, I don't know what will, tell me what I'm doing wrong here, because it makes a lot of sense to me.

What do you hope to gain? It's still gonnna be really low compared to a 4wd, and still not going to be able to follow a Subaru - and those can't even do that much without damaging the body. I highly suggest you concentrate your efforts on something else.

Well, this project really is just to kill time, for fun, this car wont be on the road for a while, so I'm thinking up modifications I can test while its not road legal so anyone else can use them if they want.

And for the 4wd deal, your completely right, I just want us to be able to drive it without bottoming out while on our back roads. I figure it would be fun too, to be one of the first people to lift a focus (not saying we are the first).

Like I said, purely for fun, not really for practicality.
