I have a 93 ranger 4x4 reg. cab with 3.0 liter. I am trying to change the clutch, but I cant seem to get the trans. out. It will not fit between the body and the exhaust no matter whirch way I tilt it. The exhaust is sitting right on top of the cross member and will be a pain to take out. No book or forum I have seen says you have to remove the exhaust, just wondering if anyone has had the same problem or has any suggestions. Thanks.

YOull have to either take off the exhaust crossover, or get a good pry bar and a friend and force it out.

I went through this a couple months ago, remove the Y-pipe, it'll save a lot of headache removing it and installing it.
