Replace the rotor button and distributor cap.
Sounds lik eit just needs a ful tune up if you ask me.
I was thinking the same.
Plugs were wet, but what's the gap? How does the electrode look? What color are they?
Looking at the plug wires doesn't tell you much. Even brand new plug wires can be defective or faulty and cause a misfire.
What did you "check" in the distributor? Look for cracks and/or carbon trails in the cap? How long has it been since the cap and rotor were replaced? Did you pull the plug wires off the cap and look for corrosion?
Have you tried pulling plug wires with the engine running to see which cylinder/s is/are not firing?
