Hi I have a 96 b2300 5 speed, the other day as i was merging onto a street, i put the truck in gear and all it did was rev and wouldn't go anywhere, it like popped something. I can go into every gear but it just revs and won't catch, although in 1st gear i can manage to move the truck very slowly like 5mph from releasing the clutch slowly and applying gas. I have had no clutch slips prior to this.
Did my clutch go on me? Or is it a spring that popped? Or did something else happen, im also getting this bad rattling sound now too from the tranny area.
Thx appreciate the help!

Could be your clutch went south...you may be able to see pieces of it at the bottom through the peep hole...had mine go on me and there was very similar symptoms to what you describe...

I'd suggest having the slave cylinder changed in the process if it is the clutch...a bit more cost, but at least you won't have to do it twice...

Sounds like the throw out bearing on the slave cylinder went out or both the slave and the throw out went south together.
EIther way you have to change them at the same time.

prolly hand grenaded the clutch,it happens sometimes,i see a clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing in youre future.
