I have a 95 ranger, 3.0, m50d-r1 5 speed, bw 1354 transfer. I need to know what the easiest transmission and transfer case to install behind a 302. I want to stay with a 5 speed. Any advice would be helpful.

there isnt a realy easy 5spd 4x4 trans to put in the ranger, i put in the f150 trans/transfercase in my ranger but its like 5ft long and it was a major pain to get in there.

Well, I know there will be changes to the crosmember and the drive shafts. I need to know what model # of the transmission and transfer case. I think it is the 4405, but not for sure.

If I've been reading up on this properly, you might be able to use a T5 with the proper adapter for the tail shaft. This would put the factory transfer case (as long as it is a 1350 or 1354) in the stock location and you would be able to use the stock driveline for the time being. I am actually thinking about doing the same thing to mine. Check out advance adapters.

i checked when i did my trans and when i did mine, there was no t-5 or temek adaptor, only way to do it was with a divorced transfer case.
