Need front outer axle assy for 1996 B4000

Hello,

I am new to TRS. I have owned my 96 B4000 for about 6 years. It's actually my wife's vehicle. We live in New England and she uses the 4WD in the snow. In diagnosing a different issue I accidentally put the truck in reverse while traveling forward at about 10 MPH. I was in 4WD-low. Even though I was on dirt, I broke the left front axle (I hope that's all that I broke).

So I have been searching the internet and ebay. Of course I can find all kinds of axles for the newer trucks that use CV joints, but I can't seem to find a used axle for my truck anywhere. I just need a usable assembly that I can then replace the u-joint and reinstall. I would be willing to pay a reasonable price to get something shipped to me ASAP.

Can anyone help?

you broke the drivers side shaft? stub shaft or the primary shaft that goes into the diff? (SHOULD be a dana 35)

you could try a junk yard. i picked up a space shaft for $15 from my local yard. i dont know what the prices are up there but either way i wouldn't think you would pay more then $30. hope this helps.
