Hey everyone, I'm trying to get my hands on a direct-fit cat for my Ranger that is CARB compliant. I'm having a really hard time finding one, so what are other models that would have the same exact exhaust setup as a '90 2.9L ext cab?

Not sure you will find a plug and play California Air Resources Board(CARB) cat converter for a 1990

Autozone has a CARB section that has Walker and Magnaflow cats that are Calif. approved, $99 to $130

If you have the old one you can take it with the new one to an exhaust shop, and they can re-use(cut off) or duplicate the originals hook up so it bolts in place

Yes I do have the original, and it is gutted. Maybe I'll just do that.

Would a 2.3L or 4.0L direct-fit for a 1990 work with the 2.9L exhaust?
