Well I ran across 3 different deals. The first one is 3 Bronco ii's in a package deal there is a 89 with a bad trans, and a 88 with a bad trans, and another 88 that doesn't have a title and doesn't run, I could buy the whole package for 750 or 350 a piece but I would have to replace a trans. The 2nd deal is a 87 Bronco ii with 175k with auto trans, rust free but the 4x4 is electric and it isn't working right now, he said it needs a actuator of something like that, that one is 650 or possibly lower if I can talk him down. The 3rd and final is a 89 or 90 I forgot, its back in Illinois by my parents house, they are asking 500 it runs and drives and has a 5 speed, it has been tipped on its side lightly but no Windows were broken, it has a small crack in the windshield and it needs a new fender, it has a dent from being tipped right above the door. I currently own a 89 Bronco ii with a rebuilt motor in it and a auto trans, but it has been rolled so I just popped the dents enough to put a window in it to drive, so I'm looking for another one for driving and light wheeling. So what do you guys think?

3rd one its turn key and them dent's will rub right out with a little mud.

I forgot to mention that the 3rd one has not been driven except for when I had my buddy go test drive, its been sitting for a couple years I'm guessing. He said the clutch felt good, but he didn't test to see of the 4x4 worked, and it also has the electric push button 4x4

x2 You can fill the dents with scratches and gouges then the dents seem to fade away. But running driving is a key factor. And why cant I find deals like that here in cali? I could use a couple of extra b2s. no biggy on the 4x4 stuff thats easier than swapping a whole trans or motor. but how about back registration?

Of has took me months of searching to find deals like this, I had one guy that kept giving me the run around on a 88, I had the cash to buy it and he said he needed it one last week til he got his new car, I waited a week and he said he needed longer, well he ended up selling it to another guy for less because I didn't call him on the right day or some bull. But yeah I think I'm going to jump on the 3rd deal, as soon as my taxes come in. They told my buddy that they wouldn't sell it to anyone else because he knows them personally and trust that either me or him will buy it, so they said they would save it for as long as we needed.

I plan to keep my old 89 that I rolled since it runs great, I just need to put a water pump in it before its ready to go, I'm just going to use it as a play toy.

Wish I could find that deal here. LOL. To have a portable parts dept/spare parts would be great. The local truck yard here is very $$ for the older stuff. Buy 3 and build 1 solid..and have spares to spare.

Well if anyone is interested in the package deal of Broncos, I found them on the Lincoln Nebraska craigslist. I hate for this guy to just let them rust away, or send them to the crusher. If I had the funds to fix them up I would but I think with already owning one Bronco I don't need 3 more (yet) so I'm just going to go for the 3rd deal since its turn key and go.

I found a 87 ford ranger 4x4 with the 2.3l and 5 speed for a 1000, do you guys think this is a good set up? I would think the 2.3 wouldn't be powerful enough to pull itself around in the mud of up hills. But then again I've never drove a 4cyl 4x4. What do you guys think?

Put a locker in there and youll out wheel anybody with a v8, and you can't really make a call on whether or not its worth it without knowing how many miles are on it :annoyed: I wish people on craigslist would realize that, i would pay 1k for a ranger 2.3l 5 speed with 100k miles on it but not for one that had 250k miles on it. Let us know the mileage and we can tell you a price if its over 200k i would low ball him at 200 or 300 dollars because its not worth anymore than that.

It has 98k or so he says, he said he hasn't owned it very long, and he said it has a locked front end or something like that.

Well i bought my Bronco II at the same mileage, when i first got it i ended up having to fix quite a few things, dont pay 1k for that thing, i bought mine for 350 at the friend price then sunk maybe 5-600 bucks into her on brakes all around, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, water pump, carb rebuild, sure theres more im not thinking of. Thats also a lot of time trying to figure out stuff and alll the work it took. if i was you id hit the guy with 500-600 bucks and pay no more than 700 just my oppinion good luck. Just remembered some of the other things new coil, then after a few weeks my distributor destroyed itself lots of work, but has been worth it.

Right now I'm going start fixing up my old 89 Bronco ii that I rolled, chop the top and all that good stuff. If I buy another one I think I'm going to jump on the 5 speed b2 I found for 500

Well I found a 86 Bronco ii that seems to be in pretty good shape, it needs a auto trans though. He is asking 400, think that's a bad price for something that here's a auto trans?
