I have a 86 b2 with the 2.9. Now my question is when I let it sit over night I have to hold it to the floor and crank it for like 3 mins After she struggles the fires up .. but she starts fine the rest of the day ..wht could it be

Smell the dipstick if you smell fuel in the oil you need to find out where it is coming from. How old are the plugs, wires, PCV/breather filter, cap/rotor, run a compression test and check the fuel pressures. Run some good fuel injector cleaner for a couple tanks of gas. How far does the spark jump with a spark gap tester you want at least 3/4 of a inch.

First, holding it to the floor puts the computer in "Clear Flood" and shuts down the fuel injectors. Holding it part throttle will help more.

Second, try priming the pumps a few times. Turn the key on, count to 5, shut it off. Rinse repeat 3 or 4 times and try to start it. If that helps go do the dealer and get a new "fuel reservoir". It has the anti-drain back valve that is probably shot and letting all your fuel pressure bleed back out of the lines over night.

thanks for the advice guys i will check that stuff out:headbang::headbang:
