Hi folks,
I am about to add a 7 wire cable for my small truck camper. I have a 1997 Mazda B4000. I have a 7 pin round connector on the camper. The problem is that I am not that familiar with the location of the wires I need to change on the truck nor how to wire to the ignition. I am running cables to the camper that need to tap into the Marker/running lights, brake light, and possibly backup. I am also running a power wire to feed the camper fridge that needs to go to the ignition or a relay triggered by the ignition so it only gets power when the engine is running. Lastly I am running an 8 gauge ground/common and power line to connect the battery in the camper to the one in the truck. I was wondering what was easier, hooking up an isolator or a solenoid. Suggestions like the best place to find the wires for the marker lights, or how to tap the ignition to provide power while the truck is on using either a relay or directly. I've done plenty or rewiring on the back of the truck putting backup lights in or adding a backup camera and similar projects but I am new to working with the front harnesses.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
