So i took my truck get the stupid annual inspection for the state of texas, and it "failed" because my seat belt is frayed (its got a little rip on the width of it down seam).
so of course, i paid the annual $44.00 to get the sticker re-newed, and the local shop failed me becuase its a "safety issue". never in my 21 years of owning the truck have i heard this crap. so i have 15 days to "fix" it or else i have to pay another 44 bucks to get it re-inspected.
CA had the smog check every 3 years. 5 years from the date of purchase of a new car.
long story short, where can i find a "replacement" seat belt, and how hard is it to swap out? I know it unbolts at the floorboard, but the panel latch i dont know how to swap.
anyone got a spare one off a ranger or bII? i'll buy it off you since local junk yards dont have em, and they want like $80 online. (LMC truck wants $90, plus shipping)
thanks!
