Hey guys, trying to make this quick.. I have an 83 Ranger 4cyl and it stopped running recently. I took it to the shop yesterday and they fixed it said there was a fuel leak from the filter and the truck wasn’t getting enough fuel. I went to the shop after work the truck started right up, went to the gas station filled her up started right up. Went out to go to work this morning started for about five seconds died than just cranked and cranked and will not start. It just happened today and I am at work so haven’t been able to dig at all the shop said I could bring it back but will have to pay for the tow. I am going to try some starting fluid after work but would like to get to the cause. Also I was looking at the conversion for Duraspark my ignition module has three plugs and the one at Autozone has two what is going on with this is there a work around?:icon_confused:

Well turns out the 3rd plug on the ICM is for an altitude control to retard the timing in high country. Now to see if I need it I don't live in the Rockies.

I am looking at the schematic and it shows the blk/wht and yellow wires go to a barometric pressure switch I`m guessing you dont need it and the module should be plug and play as long as the connectors are the same. I`m just wondering do those two wires go to the carb. I know the feedback carb on some models has the barometric compensator to adjust the air fuel as well for high altitudes. Just curious if the pressure switch is on the carb.
