I have an 84 bronco II that I pulled the motor out of about 5 years ago (2.8) and then got distracted. I've put a new motor together over the summer and I'm getting ready to drop it in but I can't quite figure out how the Air pump / alternator bracket goes back together and which bolt goes where. I can't find any pictures or exploded views that show this in detail - I know where it goes and how its orientated but there are some cut outs on the bracket itself that looks like washers fit into and the bolts I do have appear to be machined for a specific purpose.

If anyone has some good detailed pictures of a bronco or ranger that shows these - or an exploded view from a better manual than what I have - I'd really appreciate it. In fact, any under hood pictures of a stock setup 2.8 showing any of the sub assemblies, vacuum lines, etc would really help me out.

Thanks - Kirk

i can get a few underhood shots of mine tonight. its stock for the most part but the PO son got into it so a few things like vacum lines are fubar but it should give you a general idea.

ok heres a few quick ones i just took not the best but a start and hope it helps keeping in mind theres no Rad or upper rad housing on the top of the engine.

Perfect - that's exactly what I was looking for. I just got the motor off the stand last night and will try and drop it in tonight if I can get off work early (otherwise it might have to wait until Saturday - if it doesn't snow).

I'll try and post some pictures once I get it in.

Thanks for the pics - Sorry about the Twins . . . Go vikings!

not a problem! glad to help. Go Vikes!!
