need a cheap speedometer

i got an 89 ranger prerunner. and because of my prerunner dash, my guage cluster is on da floor so the speedometer cable doesnt reach.
any ideas where to get a cheap speedometer? im on a budget.
i was wandering could i just get another cluster from the junkyard and cut out the speedometer? would this work?

yeah it is possible to cut a speedometer with a home made fitting
you said it's a cable that make speed reading and not a wire

yeah, its a cable.
i just pulled the speedo from my cluster and hooked it up through the radio hole on da dash.
it works!!! haha now i wont get pulled over if the guage is accurate.
