so, i own a 1995 Ford Ranger XLT, and i use it offroad now alot.

im from new England and you gotta love the wonderful salt they put on everything in the winter!

so at my last event, my front body mounts (between the radiator and bumper) came out of the frame and crushed the actual piece they were attached to right in front of where the radiator is.
it was so rusty it was just a matter of time. sorry no pics....yet.....

im trying to find a replacement. sure, we can fab up some beefy heavy futy supports, but we would just be welding metal to......rust!
i am looking at the entire pieve and was wondering what it is called. is it called the Radiator Core Support, or the Header Panel, or are they the same?

this is the part you need to reach through to get the headlights out through, and tha part the hood bar attackes to on the top. the same part my body mounts usedto be a part of, and the same part the intake came down through behind the bumper on the passenger side.

any help on what this is called so i can get the right part and replace while we are doing the body lift and replacing the body mounts would be appreciated. i can get and add pics first thing in the morning.

Bone yard it and tell 'em you need the front rad support/mount section. You can order in one from LMC or the like...but they are not cheap, and shipping is gonna cost. Once you describe the part in detail? Most scrappers will point you in the right direction.

Yep, it's also known as the core support. If they are decent? It's a fair price. Heck, we have a local bone yard and the guy thinks everything is made of gold. But get on his good side? He'll do discounts for you. (we blew through 3 A4LD's in a 5 month time frame. He did help us quite a bit with the costs)
