Hey, all. Got a vacuum line coming off of the vacuum block on the back of the air intake plenum on my ’92 Ranger Custom Supercab (4.0, 4WD, A4LD auto trans). It connects to a metal line that is bolted to the top of the plenum (seen here):

From there, the line runs down between the back of the engine and the firewall, before disappearing. Anyone know where this line goes to? Top of the tranny, maybe? :icon_confused:

Thanks!

Yes, it goes to the Vacuum Modulator on passenger side of the A4LD Transmission, there is another rubber vacuum line at the other end of that metal line
Check hose for ATF, if found replace modulator

That one IS leaking

A-HA!!! Thank you, RonD!!! Been wondering for a while now if my truck isn’t shifting late. I’ll check that puppy out. :icon_thumby:

PS - Does that sucker screw in/out or is it a press fit?
