Had different rangers over the years, so thought I'd pick up some info. here since I stepped up to a 1999 XLT 4x4, also a 87' STX "High Rider" 4x4 which is for sale... needs trans (5spd) runs great, also had an 83' 2.3 4x4. Have not dove in yet to see what kind of tech advice is available yet but I'm sure I'll need advice sooner or later.
