N.C. Man empties .45 on brat's laptop!

Off Topic sort of: Wonder if the dad open carries? I openly carry almost every day.

HANNAH'S REACTION
For those that wondered, commented, criticized, and just in general wanted to know:
My daughter came through it fine.

Yes, she's in trouble, and yes she's grounded, but that doesn't mean every moment of her life has to be miserable. She's going to come to terms with the changes that will be present for a while; no TV privileges, no Internet, etc.

In the meantime, once the initial anger passed,... she sat with me reviewing some of the comments that have come in via Facebook and YouTube. One person even suggested collecting the shell casings and auctioning them on eBay. I said I’d do it if it would help contribute to her college fund! When I told her about it, she thought a minute, got a funny calculating expression on her face and said, “in that case you should shoot my phone too. We can use more bullets and I’ll go half-sies with ya on it! It’s not like I’m going to need it any time soon. And I can use the money we get to buy a new one.”

While the whole point of this story isn’t funny, what is funny to me is how weak some people out there think kids are. Our kids are as strong as we help them to be. My daughter took a horrible day in her life, had her crying fit, then got over it, accepted her punishment, and hasn’t let it (or people’s comments) destroy her strength. I don’t get any credit for that. She’s strong and able to overcome almost anything life throws at her.

Since this unsuspectingly threw her into the limelight much more strongly than either of us intended, I asked her if she wanted to make her own response video, and told her I’d let her do it if she wanted to. She doesn’t like being in front of the camera, so she declined, but I’ve told her if she wants to write a response or post a video response, I’d be OK with it. It’s only fair considering the viral nature of the whole thing. So far she’s not really interested. Quite frankly it seems she’s gotten bored of it much faster than the general public has. If that changes I’ll post it here.

I know better and I know more about 75+ different weapons then most people will ever know since I am retired Special Ops. I served in 3 different combatant units in 3 different conflicts in my career and you are defiantly not aware of ricochet bullets. Shooting into the ground is the stupidest thing you can do. You can hit a buried rock or buried metal and the ricochet can hit you are somebody close by. Ask my buddy who lost his 17 year old son 6 years ago to a ricochet. Somebody shot 3 rounds into the ground and my buddy lost his son to a ricochet…..I was releved that as I watched the vid that he was the only one there...I at fist thought he was doing this in front of his daughter and I thought...'I hope she is not nearby while he is shooting into the ground'....but she was not there...whew....still stupid to do this...he should have put the laptop on a post or a target holder...just shows he was not thinking...

So you were Spec Ops, have a 9 sec Corvette and a Jeep w/ a Hemi? :icon_thumby::icon_confused:

Spec Ops, what was your job code? What countries/conflicts were you in?
9 sec corvette, Lets see a time slip as proof!
Jeep w/ a Hemi, details of the build plus pics of the build process.

Until you meet all these guide lines, I am calling bull shyt!

Lets see if everything you talk about is true. As far as I know your some 12 yr old in his parents basement talking shyt. Prove me wrong and I will leave you alone.

I have a 'Vette with 640 rhp that runs 10.29. I posted my buddies 'Vett runs 9.10...not mine. I was in Granada in 83, Panama in 89 and the gulf war in 91. I was an Operation Specialist. I posted my photos some time back. I took everything off after 2 posters said I was a photowhore of showing my wildlife photos on my properties I have owned for over 30 years now. I fought for this country and I have a pension that I earned and was wounded several times.

:thefinger::thefinger:

It is a known fact your mother had you aborted but you got better....eat crap and die you moron.....stay in school and lean something you brat...better yet...shoot into the ground and video tape your death from a ricochet....

:thefinger::thefinger:

You rage like a 12 year old kid. :thefinger:

ok .... stop the "My dick is bigger than your dick" bullshit

You prove my point even further. Junior, it is obvious to the majority here, that you are full of it. I have known a few folks from the elite units (or as you incorrectly describe them - "combatant units"), in my day. :icon_thumby: NONE of them spout the crap that you do, all over the internet. If you were, you would understand. Just remember, on here, or most other forums, you aren't just chatting with other 12 year olds. A few of us know a thing or two. If I am wrong, and you are a veteran, like me, and many others here, I thank you for your service. But, in my opinion, you sure don't act like one, and God help your soul, for claiming to be something you are not, and disrespecting all the true "heros", in the process.

Moron shouldn't shoot at his feet. However he is a well intentioned moron, and I don't totally disagree with his style or actions.

Now onto the off track real question raised by this thread....

Straycat's veracity...

It should be simple for a self proclaimed photowhore to post a pic of his own car instead of his buddies...

I find the rest of your little story here a little less believable than the Vette.

Operations Specialist (notice the s at the end of Operations) can be many things... There are Army Aviation Operations Specialists that mainly deal with flight plans, clearances, emergency notifications and weather reports.. there are also Water Treatment Operations Specialists... Navy Operations Specialists work mainly on the bridge of the ship with radar and communications... and there are also Administrative Operations Specialists in the various branches.. None of these guys are likely to be shot at...

Special Operations DOES include Aviation specialties under SOAR (you know who these guy are?), including the guys with the clipboards, computers and radios... but you didn't mention your job code (no I am not going to say what job code is really called or what it is for AOS)...

The other Operators that are on the ground, that are more likely to pick up a Purple Heart than someone in an airfield radio room, have completely different sounding specialties and generally won't be found bragging about who they are and what they did, except in sheltered, more exclusive areas of the internet... Guys more likely to get shot at include Special Operator jobs like US Air Force Combat Weatherman, we'll even include USAF "Combat Crew" TACP's assigned to the right US Army and SOCOM units..

Now... as far as Grenada, Panama and DS I... sounds like Army.. so what were your units/locations? This is my time frame of service with the US Army, and my little brother's time frame with the US Navy, so I'm familiar with either.

Don't want to give away "secret info?" What uniforms were you wearing for each.. we know the patterns and the nicknames... IE: if you were HQ, 2Bn or 3Bn BlahBlah RINFRGT you would know all about "spw" jungles. You'd know about the little old lady Jump Master from certain cadences sung and where you 'met' her during your training...

Harmony Church or Sand Hill?

Was Regiment's mess hall inside or outside of the 'bird cage?'

What was the name of the enlisted club near the Airborne school?

What drinks were available in the vending machine in the company break rooms all over Benning/Gordon/Bragg?

Surely you'd know the answer to more than one of these questions...

Thanks to all Veteran's for their service, it doesn't matter if you were a mechanic, truck driver, admin clerk, grunt, gun bunny, squid, jarhead, coastie or water boy. You all served, that's the point.

The FNG has got my back. Gettem'!

Bam! Well said! You said what I wanted to say, I just didn't want to put the time or effort into it. I get tired of "straycat's" crap. I know it doesn't do anyone any good to argue with internet commandos, but I just can't stand by and let someone pretend to be something they are not, when it comes to something near and dear to me. I guess its to be expected, though, with the anonymity of the internet.

*Edit: I bet he's goggling like a mad man right now, tryin' to find some answers to your questions. Good luck with that....:D

Heh..those would be tough to answer unless you were there...

How about where was the safest place to loose your wallet, and why wouldn't you want to loose it there?

What "doesn't exist" in the basement of BLDG 4?

What was your first drop zone?

Where was Green Ramp?

What was in the woods near the Queen?

How tall are the towers? Not those towers, the other ones.

1st of the 5 oh what? Or was it 40-something?

Follow who?

What happened to Mike?

Who was GI Jane and what did she ruin for the 'Gentlemen'?
