N.C. Man empties .45 on brat's laptop!

Who as a kid hasn't been pissed at their parents? I used to flip them off behind my closed bedroom door and silently curse them out.the problem with today's kids is they run to the internet and post all the stupid crap for everyone to see.When I was a kid you could still get your azz beat,so you learned to be careful.

:icon_rofl::icon_rofl::clapping::clapping::pray: That was good.

kids these days are not thought the value of a hard days work. hell i will even say i had it soft.
you dont hear of the stories you used to hear where the kid had to mow 100s of lawns to be able to buy his own bike. and the sad part is they are taking it to adulthood and protesting in the city parks because they cannot have the job their helicopter parents fed them that they were going to get out of school.

my favorite saying i have heard is if you havent heard your kid scream "i hate you" once while they were your kid was growing up, you didnt do a good job raising them.

Agreed. Nobody is entitled to anything unless it was worked hard for. Life isn't easy. You can't just expect everything to be handed to you and not work for it.

She got everything she deserved with that. My parents made me get a job helping out a retired vet who was disable when I was 14. Bought myself a bike off the money. Paid for school lunches etc.

When i was a kid i got grounded to my room, back then there wasn't anything to do there.
Today when a kid gets sent to their rooms there's enough electronic crap in there to play with for hours and not be punished at all.

If my parents wanted to really punish me i was handed a leaf rake and a Amish style lawnmower and was sent to our 4 acre yard. I was had a quart mason jar and was told to drink from the spring..

I agree 110% with what he did. She will never learn to respect anything/anyone w/o an example like this. I would have done the exact same thing if my child was getting out of control.

I think his choice to SHOOT the laptop was a little wierd.. Lol

I wonder how his daughter feels now that she really doesn't have anything from doing all those terrible chores.

Don't call me Hepto, but that guy is an idiot. There are many, many more ways to discipline your children. Yeah, the kid is disrespectful, I've dealt with it. Shooting holes in a laptop is a lapse in parental responsibilities.

Idiot!!! Why....I oughta........

The guy is my hero....reminds me of a doorgunner who skipped his meds for 24 hours ;missingteeth;

But....(more) seriously....it's like you guys said...kids now-a-daze have so much stuff that the only way to really punish them is to make them stay OUT of their room. It's almost as though we're abusive parents if we make our kids spend an hour a day actually helping out around the house. Whhhhy...I remember when....no...that was Viet Nam....

It's like the time that I grounded my 16 year old daughter...about midnight I looked into her room to check on her(a habit I got into when she was a baby--making sure she was O.K./covered up/not running a fever/seeing how sweet & innocent she was/& cause my wife told me to)....anyway...she was climbing out her bedroom window all dressed up....I startled her.....then I told her "Go ahead---I'm going get a hammer and some nails!".

Eventually, she turned into a great parent, herself....

i agree with what he did. but he must have lots of $$$ money hanging around (well more than me anyways lol) cause i sure as shit wouldnt drop $130 and hours of my time on something and the next day load it full of .45 rounds. that's the only thing i thought was crazy about it. but it was a good lesson, i want the daughter to video tape a response and post it on youtube........oh wait, she doesnt have a laptop anymore.

It probably didnt come down to whether or not he could afford to pump the laptop full of bullets.. more so just that at one point he thought his daughter was worth the 130 bucks and then realized that the 130 bucks was equally as useful as a target lol

I always love it when a parent that cannot quit smoking long enough to scold their own children about errant behavior.....THEN he snuffs the butt and throws it on the ground.... I quit listening at that point.:annoyed:

BTW, his daughter is normal from his own description.:icon_surprised:
If anyone here does not think that at 15 a girl is not experimenting with sex, drugs and pushing her parents around, no matter how religious or strict the parents are, you are blind as a bat!:idiot:

Kids learn from adults by example, and most parents today set a very poor one!:fie:

I agree with what he did. I've never heard of exploding .45 rounds though. I wouldn't use my .45 though, I'd get my shotgun and use buckshot. It did look like fun.

She does sound like a spoiled brat. The Dad said she was grounded before, but didn't learn her lesson. Maybe she'll learn this time.

My wife is good at breaking the kids electronics. She has smacked a laptop over the counter and broken a flip phone in two. This guy bought the laptop, if he wants to destroy it, that is his right. The sad thing is...this girl probably did not learn anything from this. We're not all blind as a bat, Tom. As parents we know more than our kids think we do. I have one teen scientist but I also have one who is very well behaved.

Im sorry, IIRC, you dont shoot at the ground...just saying. BTW that was a great waste of $130 and some change for rounds.
