N.C. Man empties .45 on brat's laptop!

When i was a kid i got grounded to my room, back then there wasn't anything to do there.
Today when a kid gets sent to their rooms there's enough electronic crap in there to play with for hours and not be punished at all.

If my parents wanted to really punish me i was handed a leaf rake and a Amish style lawnmower and was sent to our 4 acre yard. I was had a quart mason jar and was told to drink from the spring..

and yet they don't stay in their rooms when you send them there

I definitely agree with the things he said, but I would have found something much more sinister to do if that were my kid.

I do sinister ...... I don't believe in the death penalty because the death penalty is for pussies......... Death is a release, not a punishment... there are things far worse than death...

What that shows is how to get rid of a problem is to shoot it, not a bright one at that. People like those dont need to have guns in their hands when they use them like that, kinda looked like he was just showing off his gun IMO.

I do believe in karma and there will be a day that mommy and daddy will need her and she will look back on this and say "remember that time..." and just let them be.

There may have been a link to the original thread on facebook about that, but nothing says that it couldnt have been faked and all of it was just for plablicity, people will do that now a days.

It is sad though that is this is real that the only place that would listen to her was the nearest keyboard and to type it on facebook. For all we know, it could be a scream for help and nobody noticed.

Just becasue the laptop says HP on it in a circle, it doesnt stand for "hollow points" and to shoot there.

Is it bad when my parents grounded me to my room, I didn't touch my game systems, computer, or toys? I wrote in a notebook most of the time, lol.
I also believe in manual labor for punishment, which is unusual for my age (20). I've had to use an old rusty manual push mower to mow areas around the family farm (mowing around anything that will leave twigs on the ground with that thing was a pain). Although I think that parting out the laptop would have been better then shooting it (just leave the brat the bare frame of the laptop, let her build it from there) I kinda think that she may have deserved it, maybe not that severe though... Although facebook is one of the modern day evils in my eyes.

Im sorry, IIRC, you dont shoot at the ground...just saying. BTW that was a great waste of $130 and some change for rounds.

what do you think the backstop at almost any outdoor, and alot of indoor ranges is?
you are correct its pretty dumb to shoot right between your feet, but no matter what you shoot at, 9 times out of 10 that bullet is going to hit the ground unless it sticks in something else first

idk about you, but at that age I didn't really want to talk much with my parents, granted i was definitely out causing trouble that i shouldn't have been. but i never hated my parents for the chores i had to do or the rules they imposed. i understood then and still firmly believe now that they were only doing what they thought was best based on what they had experienced.

I also thought it was comical how that guy knew so little about his own gun. I'm guessing he doesn't shoot much...

I know better and I know more about 75+ different weapons then most people will ever know since I am retired Special Ops. I served in 3 different combatant units in 3 different conflicts in my career and you are defiantly not aware of ricochet bullets. Shooting into the ground is the stupidest thing you can do. You can hit a buried rock or buried metal and the ricochet can hit you are somebody close by. Ask my buddy who lost his 17 year old son 6 years ago to a ricochet. Somebody shot 3 rounds into the ground and my buddy lost his son to a ricochet…..I was releved that as I watched the vid that he was the only one there...I at fist thought he was doing this in front of his daughter and I thought...'I hope she is not nearby while he is shooting into the ground'....but she was not there...whew....still stupid to do this...he should have put the laptop on a post or a target holder...just shows he was not thinking...

I always suspected you were either a child, or just really childish, by reading your posts. This post leaves me no doubt. When you are old enough, I truly hope you don't reproduce. We already have enough entitlement minded teen brats in this country, that is sliding straight to hell. We don't need more. I wouldn't have stopped at the laptop. Surely she has other possessions that could be destroyed nicely. Good on that dad.

Back in the old days, there was a varmit deterent called HYLife....it was an acid-based liquid that one would squirt out of the container onto the hide of offensive creatures if they came near one in a hostile manner.
