Mystery tool thread.

Mosin Nagant tool that allows you to check firing pin protrusion, remove the bayonet and is also a screwdriver.

PetroleumJunkie also got it.
Mauser, Luger, Label, and just about every firearm maker had tools specifically made for their weapons. Hundreds of them out there.

That old oil can spout is one of the crappy ones that always leaked. The gas station I worked at from 72-5 switched to the can spouts that hooked on the edge of the can and rocked over the top to puncture the lid.

Thats why we always walked around with 2-3 rags stuck in our back pockets...to wipe up the dripped oil.
Then, when there was a bit of clean oil on the rag, you could use it to clean the grease off your hands.

On my key ring as well. How else do you eat soup??

Sight alignment guide and multi tool for the hands-down best rifle ever designed. My numbers-matching scoped Tula is my deer rifle.

Factory scope?

I have a '43 ex sniper Izzy, they used to be a fun bang per buck gun before they went $300+ for a generic one (mine was $99)

I was so excited when I saw that tool... until I saw there were two pages after it.

They produced some of the best factory scoped sniper rifles of WWII. Very accurate and very robust...equal to or better than anything the US, Germany, or Britain produced.
The original Springfield 03's were superb when mounted with a scope, but the WWII 03-A3 were garbage next to the Mosin.
Same with the early German Mauser sniper rifles. Early ones were outstanding, but later ones were worthless. But, the Germans excelled with their optics.
Britain never really got into the accurate sniper rifles.

That is an old oil can nozzle/funnel , used on the old oil cans used up until the 70's (pre plastic bottle era).
Sharp end would pierce the can top when you pushed it down onto can top, and then provide a funnel to put oil into vehicle.

I know. Stuck one in many oil cans back in the stone age.

Here's a good one.

I have 1944 Izhevsk PU sniper and one or two ex snipers. Quite accurate by WW2 standards. They are crude and durable and fun to shoot, I have never got used to the PU scope height though.

The Finns really refined the Mosin Nagant, they were really good at squeezing every bit of accuracy out of them.

Here's some weird sh-t...

Those get thrown into the road to flatten tires.
Close, but not quite...
Their listed as "Tire Security Devices". You can either place them in your assigned parking spot to detour unauthorized users, or, you can place one under each of your own parked car tires to detour "unauthorized persons" from stealing your car. Better to have 4 flat tires than to have your car stolen.
