I plan on adding a hoop with some bracing so there is some more work to be done but it will work for now.

loooks pretty good could i suggest a brace on either side of the winch to the center plate looks like it might tear in that area

Material.

with out the front plate this is what the bumper looks like.
the main body of the bumper is 4"x4"x1/4" square tubing. the notch in the middle is there to lower the winch and the whole notch is plated with 1/2"x4" plate . The plates on the back side that are the bumper mounts started off as 8"x8"x3/8" plates cut down to my needs and the nose plate is 3/8". oh and because the 4x4" tube wasn't wide enough I had to add some 2.5"x2.5"x3/8" angle off the back to hold the back set of feet. everything on it is double welded I gouge everything first then weld it full and then do another pass. I am using a lincoln 180c with flux core I am getting ready to buy a bottle and mig wire.
I think it is plenty strong enough for just winching but because I am afraid some jerk will pull in front of me I am gonna add some vertical bracing to the plate and put a hoop or 2 on it I just wanted to get the winch mounted I may work on the bracing this weekend weather permitting.
I am also planning on putting the solenoid box under the hood cause it isn't sealed very well, and I am gonna do a set of incab controls.

How much does that thing weigh?

I'm not sure any more reinforcement is needed on it with such thick materials.

not sure how much it weighs I may not put any more support on the plate but I want to tie it into the frame better I may either cut the plate down or cut some holes in ti or something to lighten it up some.

Nice bumper!
Off topic. Are those 34" LTBs? If so do you have any side shots? How much lift?

that turned out awesome:icon_cheers:

screw the hoops, unless your in deer traffick areas..

ya disregard what i said i didn't fully see how that front was welded to the front.. i see its overlapped a bit. i would have been worried about it bending but in this case i was wrong.. def looks great

no prob destroyer I understand what you were originally thinking. Hahns yes those are 34" ltb's I will have to look for some side shots or just take some more. I am running 4-6" skyjacker brackets and using the 4" hole and on the rear I am running sploder leafs and 6400 shackles the leafs need to be swapped out they are worn out.

What winch do you have?,
(I got the warn part!)
