My Son-in-Law needs help!

Son in law is trying to keep working...but gettin in a full day is wearing him out.....the chemo wears him out on Mondays and makes the rest of the week rough....really rough.............

He's considering his options........................

Thanks for the thoughts/prayers/good wishes.......

Glad to here all the prayers seem to be working and we will all continue to do so. Glad you SIL seems to be slowly improving. I've heard that chemo will drag anyone down to the point of not even wanting to move at all. Glad he's able to get out and work a little bit at least. I know sitting in my house starring at walls would bug the he** out of me very quickly as I'm the type of person that has to be always working on something or doing something outside.

Thanks for the update. He's been in my prayers since the first post.

Well..it's been nearly a month...the chemo has worn him out....he can no longer work because of balance problems/equilibrium.

He also had a PT Scan today.....he will get the results next week.

(It's better that he stays home rather than accidentally running off the road on the way home from being too tired/off-balance to concentrate.)

That's a shame DG. I hope he beats it.

Our machinist's wife is stage 1 ovarian IIRC. She's going for her second chemo next week, machinist says it's tearing her up, even with the injections to bring her white blood cell count back up. She just aches everywhere.

It sounds like your Son in law has really been through the wringer. I hope he gets well.

Yep......seems as though the 1st month is really rough....tell machinist for her to "hang in there" thru the first "round" of treatments!

yep......if he can get a break/relief from the side-effects....he might get some strength back.

Does Louisiana have medicinal marijuana? I think that was discussed a few pages back though.

NO......I think only in a pill-form for patients with glaucoma?

UPDATE: The PT Scan showed that the liver cancer has not increased in size.

The good news is that the cancer hasn't covered his liver completely.

He will get chemo every 3 weeks instead of every 2 weeks.

Good to hear the improvement...prayers for further recovery...an Angel...and that your SIL keeps a winning attitude...

I don't recall your elaborating on his faith...but, if nothing else, I hope he deepens his trust in God...what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger...

Will keep him in my prayers.

only 15 so im slamming some coca colas for him. Best of luck!!

Men: Thanks for the prayers & colas :yahoo:

Son in law had to sell his Harley this weekend :bawling:..........

the chemo has him too off balance to ride it safely :bawling:

Good news is.......he has days where he can still drive his truck to Mal-Wart.

:yahoo:
