My six disc is on a CD diet...

If you want a double din pioneer touch screen with a front usb port and sd card slot lemme know. Might be selling mine in favor of a flip out screen.
Thanks, but no thanks! I don't need that much fancy stuff lol!
go to walmart or bestbuy or any place that might have car radios (walmart tends to be a tad cheaper compared to the other places) find one you like.Deffinately stay away from dual if you want a radio that lasts more than a couple of months. I had a pioneer in my f150 and it sounded good and picked up stations and was easy to use, but i dont think they make that style anymore. I've had some problems with older kenwoods and pioneers but cant speak for the newer ones.
I think with most newer radios quality isnt a big concern anymore (all seem to pretty decent *except dual my brother only buys them cause they last about as long as his cars do 6 months*)its all about your style.
Thank you! Sears had a pioneer with 4 new speakers today for a little over a hundred bucks... plus 5% off of that because of some other deal they were having on everything...
Sounds like it is time to remove the unit and just put in another brand. You will have to send that out for repair most likley. I have heard that heat build up in a vehical can cause this issue. Not sure if this is correct but it could be a reason why this happens.
I have heard that also, thanks!!

Sorry to thread jack, but can u send me a pic and a price please?? Thanks

Most radio's today are somewhat reliable, and the more the radio is, the more features it has like Cd changer control, iPod connectivity, navigation, etc

No problem, and if you aren't really comfortable with wiring, the adapter plugs at walmart simple to use, all you do is splice wire color for color together and then plug them into the radio and factory plug. Also good if there is even a remote chance of a factory radio going back in, and if you decide to go with a different headunit later on you dont have to worry about shortening the factory pigtail to the point that it wont be useable later on.

From a personal experience deffinately worth the couple of bucks to buy one. I hard wire a cheapo radio into my ranger it was really simple but if i ever decide to change it out (and the radio is going bad so i probably will) I'm gonna dread it, infact when i change i'll probably just rewire the entire cab to get rid of the hack jobs from the owner(lamp cord spliced to speaker wire, splice to lamp cord, back to speaker wire. It's scary! and amazing that it hasnt burned the truck down)

All hinges on getting rid of the blazer, some guy wants to trade me a 97 F250 ccsb 4wd with a 5spd and stroke for my blazer. Too much effort to get a double din into a obs ford.

Wifes 03 Explorer did the same thing. Take it out of the dash, unplug it and plug it back in. That worked for getting the disc's out of hers.

CD changer? Throw that away and get a single disk MP3 capable thing, rip your CDs, burn them all on the one disk. This is 2011, not 2001. We don't own big mechanical things that can eat CDs, we don't carry something as huge as a CD that only has 10 songs on it. You can have every bit of music you own on a $14 memory stick poking out of a $100 Sony Xplode receiver. Why risk the originals? Why pay even a dime to fix a system that's just going to conk out again?
