My POS Craigslist Special 92 Ranger

I might have a 5/8" sway bar kicking around the garage. I'd have to take a look, but I know I used to have one.

Frame is looking good man.
Thanks!

Just now seeing this post, I am definitely interested if it's in good shape. Just let me know, and either private message me for my phone number or post pics of it here. I would greatly appreciate it

So I finally started working on it again. And I've run into an issue that I haven't fully researched yet.

So I'm working on putting my shackles hangers leaf springs and axle back in

Here is my question. Is the differential supposed to tilt like this? The bracket that is welded to the axle that the leaf springs mounted to before the flip is sitting perfectly on top of the c clip that is part of the axle flip kit

I can't believe how good this is starting to look

Pinion angle is my guess.

I'm only going 4", it's a flip, but with "lift" shackles...to get from 5" drop with the flip kit, back up to 4".
Another buddy who's gone lower in steps to like 7-8" drop in the rear said that with this amount of drop, once I put the weight back on the axle, it'll straighten out, he didn't do shims with this amount of drop.

Sound right?

Appreciate the input!

I see that's it's a flip :) I'm assuming it's just going to be a weird pinion angle. I'm not very knowledgable about lowering vehicles, only lifting :D But we run into the same problems haha

I honestly feel like it is wrong too. But I trust my buddy, and it's not going to hurt anything to try it like this. If I need to adjust pinion angle I will be able to do it very shortly after test-driving it LOL

Oh definitely, you'll notice it real quick. Honestly though I feel it'll straighten out by looking at the photos.

You are the third person that has said that they think it will straighten out after I load it. Good enough for me haha I need to get this POS done and on the ground

I appreciate your input, thank you

So did your rear axle straighten out? [emoji16]

I don't have any weight back on it yet. I've taken a long break from the truck, we had a really hot stretch here lately. I will get back on it soon and update the thread

Will a 1 inch Ranger rear sway bar fit my truck? It's a 92 custom 2 wheel drive with an 8.8 manual transmission 4.0 and originally had a 5/8 inch bar

Not any help. Thanks for trying though

It will fit. I made an F150 bar fit my 91 by bending in the arms a bit. Where did you find a one inch bar, I looked for a couple years.
