I do have a solution to all the crammed down your throat crap of windows 11... if you already went forward (99% of you did) then this is a hassle. but windows 10 IoT (Internet of Things). It is the OS that M$ wrote to go onto refrigerator doors, atm's and such (except the industry said we'll stick with 95 on atm's cause it costs too much to refactor all our software.). Last release was 2021, it does not have one drive and 99% of the bloatware crap that makes windows 11 so nasty. and here's the biggy, install it offline, disable "driver" update and then go online - now you can actually use portable software like portable firefox and associations are normal.

For those about to say windows 10 is dead... well, Win 10 IoT is more appropriately called Win 10 IoT/LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) - it is supported fully until 2036.

AFAIK... LTSC isnt available legally to the average Joe/Jill. You can probably find it gray market but then much bigger risk.
