My personal experience with A.I

for clarity. **** the government. **** AI.

I do have a solution to all the crammed down your throat crap of windows 11... if you already went forward (99% of you did) then this is a hassle. but windows 10 IoT (Internet of Things). It is the OS that M$ wrote to go onto refrigerator doors, atm's and such (except the industry said we'll stick with 95 on atm's cause it costs too much to refactor all our software.). Last release was 2021, it does not have one drive and 99% of the bloatware crap that makes windows 11 so nasty. and here's the biggy, install it offline, disable "driver" update and then go online - now you can actually use portable software like portable firefox and associations are normal.

For those about to say windows 10 is dead... well, Win 10 IoT is more appropriately called Win 10 IoT/LTSC (Long Term Servicing Channel) - it is supported fully until 2036.
AFAIK... LTSC isnt available legally to the average Joe/Jill. You can probably find it gray market but then much bigger risk.

This sounds like maybe an answer for people who can’t update to 11 and don’t do a whole lot with their computer

Sounds like a business opportunity… create a fake manufacturing company and distribute the software to people for their computers instead of putting it into a new fridge…

It is a solution, but I would argue that for the skills and effort it takes to get LTSC set up, you're still better off giving Linux a try. If you absolutely need Windows compatibility for some specific piece of software you use, I get it - it is possible to make lots of windows software run under Linux with Wine, but that's a bridge too far for a lot of casual users. If you just surf the net, watch videos, use email and write documents etc, there's like zero learning curve switching to Linux. Just pick a popular distribution like Ubuntu or Mint, download that and Rufus (assuming you're using Windows) and make a bootable USB key with Linux on it. Your can just try it out, no commitments, no changes to your windows until you decide you want to. There's a Linux thread elsewhere on here if anyone has questions about how to proceed - I know there are several of us already using it and able to answer all you questions.

I know I'm always banging this drum. 😂

I'll do the startup.

Any investors?

I was running Manjaro until I got some frequency generators that uses a specific controller software. The software runs fine with Wine except it will not communicate with the generators. Many attempts, by Linux enthusiasts using these generators, to do so have failed. It was disappointing. Many calls of either porting it to Linux or going open source with it so someone could do so have been fruitless.
