The block is bored .030 over, head decked .050. Has a Offy performance intake, clifford header. Agressive grind cam high po pistons. Electonic ignition. For a straight six, it really moves this oat of a wagon. Pushing 200 HP on the Chassis dyno.

Interior Shot for nostalgia sake:

Ahh, a Kenosha Caddillac, LOL. AMC sixes were some of the greatest engines ever!

dude this thing is sick, any plans for exterior or suspension mods?

Very nice. I wish AMC hadn't faltered. They made some really neat vehicles.

The paint will most likely stay the same, its actually a pretty cool green with purple, blue and gold metal flake. I want to tint the windows fairly dark, and it will most likely get lowered with 17 or 18 inch wheels.

Here is just a little photoshop rendering:

cool.....good to see someone saving an old amc.

that carb is the same one i'm using on my car...i just have two of them.of course,i have two six-cylinders too.

Your build is pretty sweet, in fact I'm quite jealous of your skills. I'm 17 and have been learning as I go. I have an 88 dollar harbor freight welder that I'm starting to get good with, now I need to tackle the floor pans so I can throw some carpet down and call the interior done.

Thanks for the kind word guys. Most people I know in the car world hate amcs and don't respect them for what they were.

By the way, will trade the wagon and my 93 ranger for a newer lifted ranger. Lol

Kudos!

VERY CLEAN lil' wagon...............I personally like the old wagons of those years, when I was learnin to drive my folks had a 65 Olds Vista Cruiser, man would I like to have that today.........

Last one I had was a 78 Malibu wagon, V6, factory 3spd stick on the floor:icon_twisted:, I gave $300 for it and a month later dropped a 355/4spd into it.............darn I shoulda kept that car!:bawling:

73 Monte Carlo ralley wheels, roof rack off a junked Volare' wagon, and dual exhaust with turbo mufflers.....

pretty cool wagon makes pretty good hp to the tires for a old girl nice work man it will be sweet lowered

Thanks again guys! She really isn't anythting special!

It is.

Unlike a muscle or sports car which is insanly popular for the moment but not really back in the day, your wagon is a realistic time capsule of the past. I have seen all sorts of fancy restored cars at car shows, but they probably made thousands more of these and I have never seen one in real life. Nobody restores them, which is sad because they are a peice of history too.
