At the risk of ticking you other Ranger owners off I have a question. We are not the U.S. government we are Ranger owners, and we should stick together, so here I go. I have just replaced both front hub bearing assy's on my 99 Ranger 4 x 4. There was a definite issue with the drivers side, but I was told that the pass. side was also noisy and needing replacement. So, with replacement of same done the noise still went on. If you engage four wheel drive the noise [ sort of a rumble] will go away, it sometimes returns if you hit a bump or just comes back as it feels. I'm at wits end, by the way, my old girl has 175K on her but runs great. Has anyone experienced this problem, could it be another bearing in the system, or perhaps the auto hub is not working as it should. If this has already been addressed somewhere please chill out and direct me. FORDs are not failures, fer sure!
