the grey-t escape
The "green machine" is gone, found this gem through a freind. Not quite what i really wanted, but couldnt pass it up. Less than 100K miles and only $1500. Will be darn good on gas. 2.3/5 speed manual/3.73's might even have the 20 gallon tank.

That is a darn nice truck. :icon_thumby:

Wish I could find a box that clean.

Its been garage kept and hasnt seen the light of day in 2 years. Starts and runs fine, has a brake issue i need to fix ( i think the rear wheel cylinders need replaced) cant get parts until i verify drum size, but logic would say that their the smaller size. My 93 had a badly twisted frame, frame rusted out behind right side shock tower and a power steering box with a bad pitman shaft seal, and the usual ranger rust problems. This is a defintate gem. 35 miles from home, so i either fix it there or get a tow dolly.

There's no way you could have passed that up for $1500. Great find!

Nice truck!, optioned out similar to my '92 except mines 4wd. Wish it had a body in as nice of shape as yours tho haha. Interesting tid bits I found with my truck was that it indeed had the larger ~19.6 gallon tank. And even though its a 4cyl with a 7.5 rear, it has the larger 10" drums.

Im hoping it has the bigger fuel tank, would prefer the bigger back brakes too, wish ford would have just put the 10" drums on everything, the rear cover looks like its possibly a 8.8 but im thinking it should be a 7.5, and probly the smaller drums.... But its not like i'll be pulling my big box trailer with the '46 2N inside it.

Its home.....

I think i do have the 20 gallon tank, was at half, added 5 gallons now is at 3/4. Still needs a bath, got it in the barn, cant get over how clean it is inside.

Take a picture of the rear section of the tank just before the axle from the side and I can tell you which one it has.

It is indeed the 7.5 rear with 9" brakes. Got parts tonight, right side almost back together.

That looks like the tank in my '91 which is the 16 gallon one. On the 19.6g one the strap goes strait down and is flush with the tank.

Ready for the road now, just need to get title transfered, plates transfered over and insurance put on it.

On the road finnaly, few minor issues but its doing well.
