Hey guy i know it's not a ranger but i figured it would still be appreciated if i posted it here. Check out my new 87 turbo coupe. It has 79k original miles. She only had one owner. He bought the car new in new york then moved to Kentucky. I just bought the car last week. I gave 3000 for the car but it is well worth it in my opinion. The factory boost controller was hooked up wrong when i got the car but i fixed it. It works but it will only go to 15 psi after 4500 RPM. Is this common with the factory controllers. I know the controller is working because if it's set to regular it only boost to 8psi.
I think I'm going to switch the ranger over to the 87-88 setup. Right now its the 86 setup.

i am extremely jealous! nice score man, that car is beautiful!

Great score... and yes 15psi is max on factory controller it might spike 17 but thats it...

I know that 15 psi is max but when i turn the switch to premium it comes up to eight like it should then once your rpms reach 4500 it jumps to fifteen. It's happen in two stages. If you turn the switch to regular it stays at eight all the time like it should.

Looks good! I had a white 83 with a 5.0. It would haul a$%!

Is that just in 1st gear?? I think there is something in these computers to keep boost down till you are out of 1st. Could be wrong, but I belive I remember something like that.

Nice car & a great price. Surely to be a nice collectors item someday soon

Good luck with it
