So I went to the auction at the tow yard my brother works at on Saturday to pick up a second vehicle since I rolled my truck 3 1/2 weeks ago. They had 3 rangers, but because my brother works there I was able to know that 2 of them which were Gen 1's were really only worth parts and the 3rd a '99 went for over my cap.

But right after the '99 ranger came through the beautiful 1971 Wagoneer. I managed to pick it up for $500 with a Buick 350 under the hood that purrs beautifully.

After getting it home, I took a look under the hood a little closer, someone had swapped out the stock intake manifold for a Fueler intake manifold and put a 2 barrel Edelbrock carb on top. I'm kinda eager to see what other surprises this thing holds!

I have a 71 Wagoneer with a Buick 350.

Not exactly in pristine shape, but it runs, body actually isn't bad, but the frame is shot...

Someone rednecked the electrical system before I got it (for free), yes that's a household breaker. I've only putzed around a few times and haven't fixed it yet.

I'll get pic's, Haven't been able to yet, was super busy over the weekend.

I took a look underneath the jeep, Was pleased to see leaf springs under the front axle and the upside down shackles in the back. A couple quick flips should provide about 3" of lift. This thing could be alot of fun.

I'll take pic's tonight, and get them up tomorrow.

Would anyone happen to know where I can get timing information for my Jeep? I'm having a PITA time trying to find it.

That's a clean looking truck...I'd do a complete restore on it though...if you have the time/money to do it that is...

Probably worth a few grand with the right amount of work...and I've heard of older vehicles like that going for 30K+ when they are done...although I've also heard of collectors paying that much without any work on them at all...
