So a while ago i decided to be a dumbass and paint my radio bezel to match my truck, huge mistake. I finally found one out of a 4x4 explorer that is practically brand new. The only problem is my truck is a 4x2. So i had to mod the switches and buttons. I glued a a/c knob as the 4x4 switch, i glued the rear windshield washer button in the off position and for the other two holes i took a piece of black sheetmetal and glued it in to cover the holes. They wanted extra for each switch so i improvised. Tell me what ya think!

Looks good, the extra spots might end up being good places to ad switches for fog lights etc down the road...

I agree... all those nice spots for extra uses.... it's just as easy to glue new names for what the switches do as it is to glue them.

though I don't understand why you would glue them so they won't move... if they aren't hooked up it shouldn't matter if they move or not right???

thanks yall! The reason i glued them is because the rear wiper button stays in place when the entire relay is in. On the back side, so in order to get it cheaper i took the whole relay out and just kept the button. Thanks again for the compliments
Chris

I think you should relabel the wiper button with a tag that says "EJECT".

Since we are talking about Bezels here, can someone tell me what the switch on this bezel is for? The one that says "push to vent".

I am assuming it is for a rear window?

Out of a Sportrac? They had a power rear window.

MOVED to Photo and Video Forum under original name - I'll give it a try this week - give me a day or so.

first of all you are bad ass at photoshop, second of all that looks freaking SICKKKKKK!! Now i gotta figure out how to put that into reality. Thanks man i really appreciate it
Chris

yeaa under the radio there are two screws that come out, then it just pops out with some force. It is held in by 4 clips and the 2 screws. You need to disconnect the radio which isnt bad, its the antenna, and 2 clips of wires. One is for your speakers and one is for the power and what not. They just snap in and out. Its very easy. And it took me a while to find one as good as this one. There are many types, some are plain with just a 12v some have mane options like this one. The one thing i realized is that there is a rubber-like coating on the outside making it impossible to sand, well nearly impossible. You just gotta keep looking for them, good luck!
