my new chev

its not a Ford, but seems like a solid truck man. nice find :headbang:

we've got one F250 plow truck in town that is SOOOO close to being that truck.

HAHA! I have seen so many trucks do that! XD and its not the automaker thats at fault, its the owner who was stupid enough to let it sit =P

I wouldn't be trash talkin koda... your ranger isn't too far off lol.

That's common to happen to plow trucks. plow drivers really work the heck outta their trucks. That one lasted a long while before it decided to split... well, pun not really intended but it works!

that not why the truck is split off, sure it probably is because of plowing but not because theyre workin em so hard. its just where theyre only used in winter, probably sittin in tall wet grass all summer, etc. Im gonna be plowing with my 79 bronco this winter but she will be used winter time anyways, im making a bracket that can be easily unbolted from the frame in less than 2 minutes so youd never know a plow was on there
now im getting off track lol

No, it IS why they snap/split there. We had a 95 silverado that we worked to the bone, it was a half ton that pulled what you'd normally use a 2500 for. We plowed with it, hauled with it, and it was also a daily driver. I can tell you right now, with 220k miles on it and a new engine, it'll end up snapping before it hits 300k. I don't know of many people who only use a truck in the winter here... and if they do, their trucks were already beat to heck from the previous owner... from working them.

i know what your talkin about and i agree im just adding that it doesnt help when alot of the trucks are only plow trucks so alot of the time theyre sitting in the summer rusting to hell. do you see where im from? did you look at it on the map?

C eh N eh D eh... yeah i saw it. Look where I'm from... Minnesohtah (damn you Fargo movie)... same bit... it snows here too ;) I'm talkin aboot most trucks that plow snow, they generally are used for more than just plowing here.

Still doesn't change the fact that those who only use their trucks for plowing is simply due to the fact that the trucks aren't really deemed "safe" for day to day travel on the roads. Usually because there is a reason they got to the condition that they are currently in... from being worked!

In Newfoundland 80% of the population is coastal, with high winds the sea salt is carried in shore and destroys anything steal and we also use salt on the roads here which dont help any, my house is 400 feet from the ocean, the guy next door to me didnt protect his thuck and within 2 years of buying it, it had rusted beyond repair. our climate is unlike anywhere in the world, its 35* C here today but tomorrow could be 6*C it makes for alot of condensation and alot of rust, that being said Minnesota and New York are also on the "rust belt" so i'm sure Kemo and Koda know what its like to some degree
