It took a while, but i found a good running 351 donor, that didn't require me to get a loan. Plus she is a roller block. 96 f250 2wd. Pretty sure it's a C6, my research says that body style should be E4od???
Other than that just been cruising the paw-paw (not 4 much longer) truck. Only issue is pulling out in traffic or passing someone
My thoughts too, eyes on the pan tomorrow will tell the tale. I counted 3 shifts @55-60 cruise i think. It's running rough, bad exhaust leak, hasn't ran in a few months according to last owner. No O/D switch.
Looks like a c6 to me. That's confusing tho, maybe not original? Or did they offer a c6 the mid 90s? This unit is a 96 truck. Did some pressure washing today, the body is rough!
Does look like a C6. It's entirely possible that someone swapped one in. There is one for sale fairly close to me that has a bad trans but comes with a C6... looked like they are not the same length though but that's probably a moot point for you.
Up to you on EFI or not, there is a lot of wiring in your donor truck to swap over. Nothing wrong with a carburetor. FiTech or Holley Sniper would be cool too.
Found out the 351 parts truck lived at the scrapyard as a work truck. Scary. Previous owner is friend of friend of friend. Might explain the c6, now I wonder if it was body swapped? Best way to determine roller block for sure without disassembling?
The ranger build is holley sniper. I want something different but similar. Hence the 351 instead of 302/347 in ranger.
I like the idea of using what I have 4 now save money
