My New 87 Ranger

well, picked this up this past weekend, been kickin myself for a long time for gettin rid of my old ranger, when i went togo and look at it i was told it needed a fuel pump...LOL....ranger...needing a fuel pump...thats classic, took my ratched smacked the relay a few times and the truck started right up on the first crank, had brand new brakes all the way around, nice tight 5spd, and push button 4wd.......who wants to guess what i got it for....$250 and i drove it home the 34 mile trip with no issues whatsoever


mods coming in the near future are box bronco rears, work done to the 2.9, and perhaps a little later small block and 5spd from a donor small block box bronco ranger i built few years back im gettin my hands on again. its good to be back..,...damn good to be back

ps, i need a clean pass side fender for this truck, as soneone had tried to use the old stock bumper for offroad recoveris and dented that fender all up....also could use a good grill, im located in NJ hopefully someone will be willing to donate some to me....its called project broke ass LOL, the goal is to have this truck all done up the way i want it for under 500, the box bronco small block ranger im trading the 79 i have forsale for most likely, so thats no money out of my pocket, and it has most everything i need, minus the grill and fender

ya, it really is a sweet deal, for a 100% rust free ranger, u cant beat it
as soon as i get a day thats warm enough imma clean it up and take some more pics, need them pics boyyyy

alright....the box bronco rears are gonna be on the back burner for now, gotta get this thing legit so itll pass state inspection with the proper lift...damn NJ....but anyways, im gonna have to drive it lifted for a bit, so i got a shopping list, need 4.56's for the 7.5 and d28, dont matter if there used as long as there in good shape and cheap, need a 4-6" suspension lift complete, brackets, shocks, the whole nine yards, and if anyone has any goodies like a spacer for the rear flange so i dont have to get it extended and maybe a extended front shaft aswell....lemme know, on the cheap, i got paypal so itll be a direct payment no horsin around bullshit, any other cool shit u got layin around for my truck lay it on me in a PM

oh ya...current plans are within 2 weeks....4-6" suspension lift, 3" body lift, gearing the axles, u joint upgrade, and 35's...i know the 28 wont like it very much but itll ahve to suck it up lol

True that 28 won't like 35's, but you never know! I had a 28 stand up to some 33's and a 4.0 for a long time of beatin' the shiite out of it, I actually broke a shaft in the 7.5 before the 28 went out, strange
But that POS was pedal to metal at all times!
(could be the explanation! No kiddin)

But, If it goes out, just get a 35, bolts right in!

alright, some process has been made, so far just nickle and diming at it been throwin the body lift on the truck, of course the pesky passenger side bed bolts speed clip broke, and the front 2 cab bolts are siezed in there damn good, gotta love fords design on them, but anyways, i quit fuckin with it today since im doin it in my driveway instead of at the shop(no room), i was smart and took some measurements of the fenders b4 lifting so i can get my exact amount of lift including tires when all is said and done so i can pass NJ's wonderfull stbility tests
