My little Iron Ranger {Part 2}

Come over to NW TN, we don't care about anything legal, and neither do the enforcers!! Back when I first got my mustang 5.0L I was sideways in front of a state trooper's house really getting on it, when I went back to apologize that I just got it and wasn't use to it yet and was playing around, he just said, " sounded pretty good there when you went by...":yahoo:

Twas the night before Christmas and caught at the light,

Was a Little Red Ranger, but something was not quite right,

I approached with caution, looking it over,

It had a sound, like an angry bulldozer,

I rev'ed my Grand Am 4-banger to the point of red,

Ranger man looked at me and said "You should've stayed in bed."

As the light goes green and I pull like no joke,

The Red Ranger erupts in a cloud of tire smoke,

I'm pulling away as I looked to the rear from afar,

But now this Ranger sounds like NASCAR,

Ranger man, I could see, has got some traction,

After all, he doesn't want to miss the action,

He came up on me like I never moved,

I feared my Grand Am has lost it's groove,

He roared past me, then it caught my eye,

"302" in chrome, shining like a star in the sky,

"That thing's got a V8!" I said aloud,

But I lost this race, for that I am not proud,

At the lights, I met Ranger man again,

So I asked him, man to man,

"That thing got a V8 under the hood?"

Ranger man answered with something "It could"

"But if you try that again, I'll blow the doors off that chick car."

He races off into the night with taillights off so far,

I sat there weeping and moping galor,

And said "No wonder Pontiac is no more."

This is a poem I came up with for my Ranger. :D

Merry Christmas everyone! May you all get those upgrade goodies you've been asking for!

Now I'm starting to get the "Ranger Deprevation Fever", or RDF........

I really want to start working on my truck, but alas, I'm separated by 8 miles of metal eating road salt that I vowed my Ranger would never see again.

Things I want to do when the time comes:

1. Install my sweet sidepipes.

2. Take out the tranny(hopefully for the last time) and fix the leaks/rebuild it. It sometimes has a small grind going into 2nd gear.

3. Chop 6"-8" off my shifter to make it more gear grabbing friendly.

4. New rims/tires if I can ever find a set of SVT rims at a decent price. Those are exactly what I want.

This is a great thread.

I like how you have painted everything before putting it on, and how you've modified/fabricated stuff to meet you're needs instead of just taking all stock parts.

This thread reminds me of a lot of the same problems that I have gone through.

I admire your dedication, and hopefully I'll be able to keep working on mine to get it to the finished state that you are getting close to.

(I really should start a build thread of my own, but since I've been tinkering for a couple of years now, I don't know where to start.)

HA I love the poem man!!! I know what you mean about the RDF. I havent driven mine since september but Im finally getting some stuff done on the SAS. Maybe we can meet up this spring when Im testing her out at the park. I wouldnt mind seeing some of those little red ranger smoke clouds lol

Well, got me a new metal chrome tailgate handle. And the rear anti-sway bar and the tire letter paint marker will be here tomorrow.

I'm also getting a very nice set of rims/tires for my baby too! They aren't SVT rims, but they're pretty close to what I wanted.

EDIT: I'll have pics of everything once I get everything... :D

Well, I can nix that headlight set. Turns out the eBay company said that it should ship within 1-5 business days. That was 3 weeks ago. Sent out an e-mail asking about it and something came back with very, very bad broken English. Located in California, probably a cheapo-mexican outlet.

No thanks, I want my money back. This stinks!

What's wrong with white letters!?:dunno: They sure beat the heck out of those 14" white walls.

I can't wait to put them on too! As far as lowering, I really don't see anything in the near future for that. Just my rear sway bar for the moment!:icon_thumby:
