My Lift (so far)

You got your order right lol. I did my paint n body before motor swap and I made some nice scratches. Just bc I have this custom paint job don't mean the 4x4 ain't used lol. It's now a 20 foot paintjob. Most of my scratches would buff out. But on the add a leaf I used the second 2 leafs from a f150 pack and it was the perfect height. So 2 leafs should do it for you IF the blocks ain't enough on yours. Ive been surprised at how well this lift works when it's the cheapest option. I always love seeing b2's getting some love. Keep it up and keep posting pics. What drivetrain you got in mind? Keeping the 2.9? 4.0? 5.0!!?

with my 4" lift i had 3" blocks in the rear and still had some sagging. i installed 2.5" tuff country aal's and it set it just right for me... about .5" higher in the back then front.

heres a crappy phone pic. taken while cuttin fenders.

just picked up my tires today and man i think the rough country people are full of it. The rear is fine but the front will be exremely close and I mean close. The tire guy assured me again today they will fit but man it looks like when turning will be the issue. Just waiting on the wheels. It pretty funny to see my 2 year old stand beside the new tires. Hes just a little taller than the new tires. Ill post a pic later.

If fender trimming has to happen I take it saws all is the tool for the job if a plasma cutter isnt available?

we used a grinder with a cutting wheel and a sawzall. my 33s rub on my radius arms at full lock.

Extended radius arms that are "bent" they make them for better clearance.

I think I'd have the same problem. You have a couple ideas if it's height issue. Small body lift, coil spring booster, or the washer trick. Now if it is the radius arms check out James duff's arms. They are expensive but you could use them as a model to make your own. I think that's what I'm gonna do.

bump??!!! any updates?

well not really. Went to bleed the brakes and found out my master cylinder crapped out. I kinda thought that right when I got it, but when I took the drums apart I found a leaking wheel cylinder and thought that was my problem but it wasnt. But today I installed the new master cylinder and didnt have anyone to help me bleed the brakes tonight. So tomorrow Ill have the brakes bled. Hopefully. But my wheels havent showed up yet either. Summit said Tuesday at the latest Wednesday. Heres the wheels I went with. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3425812/
I couldnt afford the wheels I really wanted, I was going to go with Us Wheels but I read by someone on here that bought those brand of wheels and said they were pitting and stuff so I went with crager. Im telling ya its killing me I didnt really get to drive the truck a whole lot maybe 2 weeks tops and I took it apart. So hopefully God willing it will be done this week. But then its exhaust which I will be taking it somewhere for that. But the wife already wants to hi jack it but it isnt happening. She called it ugly when I brought it home.

haha, my g/f trys to steal my b2 ALL the time. i love the black steelies tho, easy to touch up, cheap, great off road wheels.. what kind of exhaust you gonna run? catback? dual? muffler or no?

you know Im not sure. I dont wanna spend big money because Im not sure on the drive train i want to change to next yeard. I really really want the 302 but I think that would be over my head. 4.0 would be easier for me but wiring isnt my thing. So I thought about having my 2.9 redone. I dont know. Theres a guy who works for a competitor and hes got a 302 in his Bronco II and he said he regretted it. He bought all the expensive adapters and said it still didnt fit quite right, and he has a hard time keeping the engine cool. So Im nto sure.

idk where i said it but somewhere on here; the 4.0 is more beneficial swap overall.. i've been told that if you use the ranger harness its easy swap. the power is awesome. the 2.9 can't get out of it's own way sometimes... the 4.0 in a b2 is awesome. i love messing with the import guys or whoever when i'm in a 88 b2. its funny... i'd like to have a 302 but i couldn't justify it and i have a 302 block... the wiring was kinda messy for me. i have the the 4.0 and catback exhaust, no muffler.. i like it. it's a lil loud for interstate use.

the way some of these guys make it sound the 4.0 is a piece of cake. But I dont know, I cant make my mind up. I had a 4.0 in a 96 Ranger it was sweet and I had it in a 05 Mustang too but I dont know. The 4.0 is probably what Im going with but I will need someone to hold my hand while I do it.

i'd lend a hand if you were closer to memphis. i love seeing b2's come together and get some love.

Thats where corporate is Memphis. Memphis, ever been to Graceland?? J/K I appreciate that man. I think my mom is wanting my Bronco II, her first really really nice car my dad ever bought her was an 84. We thought we were like awesome when we got that. Some families have the minivan or the station wagon our family had the Bronco II. It ticks me off cause it gets a bad rap because idiots didnt know how to drive. My first car was a Bronco II and I jumped rail road tracks with it and I never rolled it. Its not a mustang.
