My fuel issue I'm having.

Ok, I've been driving my truck all week with no problems. I have a 15 gallon fuel cell and I am using the stock pump(I have been for a few years). Just 2 days ago I was driving, came to a red light. Truck idled fine and everything. I took off, got up to about 30mph, and the truck shut off. Crank crank crank, shit, fuel pump. Went to the parts store, picked up one, and put it in, and the truck started right up. Yesterday, driving the truck, and the same problem happened. Went to the parts store, picked up a pump, put it in. Now, I have NO POWER going to the pump. I've checked the fuses on the left of the dash, and they're all good. Along with the fuses, and relays in the engine bay. I replaced the fuel filter about 10 months ago also. This really has me stumped. All the help would be appreciated. Maybe a bad pump?

Oh, the reason I keep going through pumps is because the strainer fell off and the pump sucked some nasty shit up through it.

Check the inertia switch, where the passenger's toes hit, above the carpet.

All the crud bypassing the missing sock could clog the fuel filter, but won't affect loss of power to the pump.
