it pulled to the right so we though it would need an alignment but it turns out my tires were just low. dont know how we missed that.lol

got a bully tail gate net for 20 bucks from pepboys and put in bed hooks from a 2000 we found in the junkyard, finished painting the bed because i lost the bed liner one day on the highway didn't even notice till i got where i was going looked on the side of the road all the way back but couldn't find it.

riveted a piece of aluminum of the same demensions to the rear of the bed to fill the hole from wher it rotted

Is that a colored primer or sealer, or is it a drab/flat color?

Done a NICE job on it IMO!

What did you do to the rear of the frame that was so BAD??? One pic looked like the rear leaf spring hanger didn't have much left to attach to on the frame..................

The previous owner was really into scuba diving and boating, the rot was from fifteen years of dunking the rear end into florida salt water and never washing the truck, it rotted so bad that the bumper literally fell off.
i found a 2003 in the junkyard and cut off about 4' of frame rail and im going to graft it with the existing frame.

and the paint is rust oleum all purpose flat paint (color: Satin aregano) and it actually has a textured feel which i was not expecting, in person it looks like i rhino lined the truck and then painted it

my 31" BFG All Terrains and 15" aluminum wheels i got for 100 bucks for the whole shebang
SANY0851.jpg

the wheels are super light

next steps:
-get the frame patched up
-find a bumper suitable to the character of the vehicle
-install the pushbar that i have
-get rid of all the squeaks coming from the bed
-adjust the rear brakes so they actually work
-install my off-road lights
-tear it up!

Nice project!! So you haven't actually fixed the frame yet? Its a fun thing to have to fix rotted frames, I've been there lol.

My frame is worse, and I like that buy, lookin nice so far!

^^ HOLY CRAP!

But I'm really diggin' the truck, especially the color! Stance on it is good, too, all around awesome.

cool truck man, you need to punch the old owner in the ear for never cleaning the salt water off of it
