Did my first Triathlone at Latta Plantation Park in Charlotte, NC on June 17.( I know its been a while but I did not get the pics till now):yahoo:

It was a sprint with:
750 m swim
17 mile bike
5K run

Finish time: 1:54:23
Not bad for first time, and the best part, I beat my friend at the finish line!:haha:

Next one is on Sep 16 at Angels race.

i could probably do the bike ride, but nothing else.

very cool man, even though im not extremely athletic I have always wanted to try one.

Real nice man! Triathlons have interested me but I hate swimming so I've always said F-that =)

dude that looks so much better than the stupid marathon I got roped in to last year. Ya the one your buddy bets you cant finish under 5hrs w/o training. well sorry to say it can be done, but I did learn no matter how much free beer the bands are giving out that it will come back up n mile 23.

but it is always worth it to beat your buddy.

cool, can't say it looks fun but it definatly don't look boring lol

My wife and i started running again this year after a 5 year hiatus to have kids. Haven't tryed a tri yet. Most adventurous we did was a muddy buddy. Mostly we stick to 5 k's. I want to try a tri, but most of the time the swim looks way too long for a beginer like me. Maybe by next year I'll feel more confident

Update

I liked the 1st tri so much that I did another one.

Angel's Race in Winston-Salem

In all it was a fun event with 450+ people. The bad part was having to wait for the swim since each person had 15 second delay.
I got 5 more events scheduled for this year in NC, SC, and Virginia, so I;ll keep you updated.

Thanks
